Rwenzori Ranges Hikers Association (RRHA) is a local, community-driven organization dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism that benefits the communities around Uganda's protected areas. Experienced professionals: RRHA provides highly skilled guides, cooks, and escorts for both mountain adventures and savanna safaris. Rooted in tradition: Founded and owned by the Bakonzo people, who have resided at the foot of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains for generations, RRHA carries a proud heritage. These mountains, some of Africa's highest and permanently snow-capped, even along the equator, hold a special place in their history. A legacy of guidance: Since 1888, when a young Bakonzo boy guided explorer Henry Morton Stanley to the breathtaking sight of the snow-capped peaks, RRHA's guiding experience has spanned generations. Beyond expertise: RRHA's team of trained professionals are not just skilled and experienced; they are also passionate about environmental protection, ensuring a sustainable future for these incredible landscapes.
